Who We Are

Girl Up Edmonton operates to achieve its goals and realize its mission as a United Nations initiative. We exist to provide exciting and unique opportunities for social justice and advocacy, as well as community building. Our goal is to unite women from diverse backgrounds and unite them under a common adjective of promoting gender equality, equity, and inclusivity.

In previous years, we have collaborated with The Moth Cafe, the YWCA, and the SACE through fundraisers in hopes of supporting women.

Our efforts have helped support 9000 women and families for counseling, leadership programs and disability services through the YWCA. Additionally, we have helped SACE further provide crisis support, professional trauma counseling, advocacy, court support, and more.
